CONCEPT: WWE FAN FACE OFF

MY ROLE: CONCEPT CREATION, RESEARCH & SOCIAL MEDIA

WWE Fan Face Off is a concept for a content series to be aired on the WWE Network. It's a weekly show that sees fans go up against their favourite wrestler for three challenges; one mental, one physical and one creative. This allows for a fairer game with one of the challenges chosen by the fan.

The fan is chosen by submitting a video online with the hashtag #WWEFFO stating their favourite wrestler and their chosen skill/challenge. If the fan wins the challenge, they receive a Fan Face Off wrestler's belt along with tickets to their chosen show. At the end of every show, a photo of the wrestler and fan is taken and displayed on the wall in the background of every show.

PROBLEM

WWE asked for concepts for a new content series to be featured on their WWE Network. They wanted a series completely different to any series currently on the platform; considering their current audiences whilst drawing in new audiences. A lot of emphasis was placed on that they're a family brand.

INSIGHT

Fans don't often get the chance to challenge or compete against their favourite superstars.

This is the opponents screen in the show that's displayed once the superfan has been announced against their chosen superstar. Apparently I'm now 16 and adore John Cena?
